| Post subject: | [CLD-1070] Won't play certain sides of laser discs |
I'm writing again with another problem... My player is having difficulty playing certain sides of discs. Sometimes its side A on a disc and other times it's side B on another disc. It goes as follows: Inserts disc, reads and spins up disc, recognizes side and disc type, Says open. But it never automatically opens the tray and it never says stop. Then it takes a long time for the disc to slow down enough to open and eject the LD. So far I've tried cleaning both the optics belt (by the laser carriage) and the loading/tray belt up front with isopropyl alcohol (and their respective rings). Doesn't seem to fix anything. I've already went ahead and bought a new loading belt. Is this the same player you posted about here: CLD-1070 won't play CDs If so, that still applies to the LD section. |
