When I hit play my player makes a short chirp sound when the disc starts spinning.
What could it be?
Could it be a lube job or something else?

Player works perfectly besides this short sounding noise.

Well its not a slipping grip ring so you can rule that one out.

Is it with all discs or only 1 disc???
Don't have any idea what it could be, was it playing fine before and now has sound?

You should post a video or something, I know LD players in general on the initial speedup make some "strange" noises, maybe its that

The noise is heard for a second on random discs.

Don't know how to describe the sound correct?
Chirp or a little scrape noise, it only happens upon start when I hit play on my remote.
Perhaps noise is heard when laser starts reading the disc?

Other than that player works perfectly.
Don't use my player very often, mostly it's just an ornament.

It's a strange noise like if something is going to break?
Noise goes away quickly
