Hello I have a CLD-D504. The manual show that vcds is supported on this player. The player works on every level. When I load a vcd it shows it reading/playing the video cd but there is no sound or video on screen. It plays a regular cd with no problem at all. Am I wrong about what I been reading in the manual, or should it play it? Thanks |

You are confused; what the player supports is CD Video, which is different from Video CD CD Video is a CD with 5~ minutes of laserdisc-format video, and 20 minutes of CD audio tracks Video CD is digital video compressed by MPEG1 While some LD players (mostly karaoke) support Video CD, the D504 is not one of them |
