Just when I thought it was safe to go outside again……lol…..another power board issue…this one is a Mcintosh aka Elite97 problem…I found a mess on the underneath of the board..someone tried to add a jumper where a Diode belonged and generally made a mess..its also missing material to solder to …I think I can handle the jumper thing…3 of them?…the question I have is what goes in the holes ..what Diode belongs..hope the pics explain it better |

First up…this is how it looked before I cleaned it…notice the small red circle is where the capacitor just rattles around in the hole,has zero contact for solder..the larger circle is where the diode is missing..and a jumper wire installed

So I think I can handle the jumpers needed..any advice is more than welcome…the burning question is?../what is the value/rating of the Diode so I can get one and maybe with the jumper fixes ,this beastie will fire up…its a filthy mess…confidence aint high..butt ya never know.

From the Service manual .. D23…HZS5.6NB2….In Greek right?… If Im reading it correctly…its listed under Semiconductors?…. the Zener Diode symbol… |

I went to Digi-Key and did a search ..the closest I found had this #.. HZS5.6NB2TD…..I would buy it butt…ya gotta buy 1723…$329…. So I pulled two that visually look the same from a cld503 board…If I dont hear otherwise…I will try one in a few days…..cant be worse than just a wire that was used before….or can it? HELP!…Save the 7020 from a knucklehead…..
