Hello everyone I just purchased a pioneer CLD 79 unit. I powered on the unit and put a Laserdisc in and it just spits it right back out after a few spins. so I took the top off and put the disk back to kinda see what was going on. It takes the disk, and when it clamps it spins very slowly for like a few seconds, and then spits it back out with the error code U1. so next, I tried a CD same thing happened except the code U0 was shown. can anyone help me with this and point me in the right direction? Much appreciated. |

Can be either the spindle motor or the laser. If you do not know how to work on these I'd return it. |

Both U0 and U1 is not a good sign. => [IMPORTANT] List of Pioneer Error Codes Player might have been badly handled or aging parts need replacement. Julien |
