Hi,
Is there some tips to unjam a drawer? I have hours into trying to get this thing open. The wheel will raise and lower the laser assembly but absolutely no drawer movement. Trying to gently nudge it doesn’t do anything.

I can’t get the drawer out even a bit to take the screws and front panel off.

I’m at my wits end, about to take a hammer to it, lol.

Thanks!

I was able to get it free. Previous owner had assembled the cd/ld bar wrong and it had jammed up the drawer.

Now that I have that correct, does anyone know the timing of the gears for a cld-d505? Im kinda scared that whoever’s was in there really messed with things.

Thanks!

So it appears that I have more broken than I excepted. Anyone have a cam plate, part # vnl-1631 for sale?

Mine has the top tab broken off.

Next to address the clicking sound coming from the gears, hoping it’s just the broken tab floating around in there.

Thanks,

- jeff

Jeff, how much did you pay for this player?
Might be better off keeping this one for parts and buying another working player closer for pickup as shipping is getting bad
in the way of destroying things now.

Hi,
I have about $75 in the unit and 25 for a new m-holder so around a hundred total. I really didn’t expect the drawer problem, the seller had 100% good feedback.

I found the pin that was broken off and glued it back together last night. Going to try and drill and pin it tonight.

The unit seems to work okay as I put a cd in it yesterday without the tray and it played fine. I’m just doing this as a hobby so I don’t mind messing around with the units I have.
