Hey, just got this player last night at my Goodwill for $6 so i could finally start my laserdisc journey. It plays CDs just fine, although a sign of what happens next is that it will randomly eject it first read attempt before it reads it right and plays. Went out to the antique store close by with some cheap laserdiscs for $3 and got the 1998 release of Chinatown. Every time I try to close the tray it tries to read and then reopens. I'm not sure what's the problem with it? Again it reads and plays CD just fine.

Replace the loading belt as it's too loose and doesn't have enough torque to move the larger tray and clamp down an LD disc.
