Hello, can someone help describe exactly which component is the "D105" Arc Suppressor Diode that I can try cutting, and then replacing the fuse, to try to get this power on again?

I wasn't able to find any component that has the number "D105".

I see a similar looking diode labeled "D8", but when I googled it, it sounds like it may or may not be it, and I want to be absolutely sure before I go cutting anything.

Where exactly is it in the Pioneer CLD-3760KV model and what is it numbered as?

Did you check the Service Manual?

Thank you for the reply!

Yes, I checked the manual, but I'm such an electronics newbie, that I'm not quite understanding exactly which part it is since I can't seem to find the matching number such as "D105", or an alternative I've also heard people say it's numbered as "D1";
however, I couldn't find either one.

I also searched for the number on my power board, "D8", which I see next to the thing which looks like the arc suppressor diode that people describe,
but when I researched it, I'm not absolutely certain it's the same thing.

Looking at the photo I took again, I do see that next to the numbered part that says, "D8, is the number "105", but this "105" doesn't seem to be the arc suppressor diode,
unless I'm mistaken.

I would assume the arc suppressor diode, or whatever equivalent component name my model uses, is near the area I snapped the photo of because it's where the unit power cable comes out from, but I'm just so inexperienced to tell what anything is.

Thank you!

The players made for the USA and Japanese markets are the only ones that have the diode for surge protection that was undersized for the USA market. You have to debug your supply. I would start with the startup 1uf capacitor.

Thank you for the help.

I will admit I'm not sure what I need to do to go about debugging the startup 1uf capacitor.

I tried searching 1uf on the manual, but couldn't find anything.

I appreciate it. I'm just not sure how and what I need to begin troubleshooting this. If this is something I can be guided through, it would be a lifesaver!

edit:
After more research, it looks like the D8 component should actually be the arc suppressor diode in question. The location of it seemed correct.
In any case, I'm going to try my luck, as at surface level, it does appear that clipping the arc suppressor, then replacing the fuse, may do the trick.
I understand the risks of further damage, but am willing to give this a shot at this point.
