Hi all!

I just managed to find a CLD-2700 for scrap pricing, I paid for it by the pound. It, however, does not work.

Plugging it in nothing happens, I checked the immediate obvious thing, the fuse and the cable, both seem fine.

I did take it apart a little bit and noticed some weird corrosion in the power supply.

Are these models known to have leaky caps or other PSU related issues? I'm pretty comfortable with soldering and digital electronics, but PSUs and other analogue devices are a bit out of my wheelhouse. Any help would be much appreciated!

You should definitely takes a look at the PSU and follow the power path to see where it stops.

Cant tell if it's nothing but top of picture looks like there could be possible crack going from top past the diode.

In my experience, no standby power usually means there is no 5V. Start by measuring the output voltages to confirm this.
If there is indeed no 5V, measure the ESR values ​​of the capacitors in the 5V circuit. Also check IC213 and IC214.
These are circuit protectors (fuses). They are often triggered when the capacitors are starting to fail.
