This remote you are selling is actually meant for the CLD-59 which does utilize the open / close button for what it is labeled for.

The proper remote for a CLD-3080 is the CU-CLD024 that has its eject button set-up as “stop” and “open” commands only (“play” is the close button).

Stop/Open/Play/Repeat/Audio - these buttons have definitely changed year to year, need to be careful what remote you purchase.
