Hello, the swivel mechanism on my 925 isn't working. A small white gear has fallen out. A CD is inserted and the laser is in reading position. How can I get the CD out so I can remove the tray to see more?

Thanks a lot

Maybe checking this post could help?

=> [CLD-D925] How to manually open front drawer
=> [CLD-D515] How to open the tray manually?

But it it's gear that moved the tray that broke... it might be more difficult that the usual trick.

Thanks a lot for your help. I was able to remove the CD. However, if I keep turning it, the CD tray comes out. Which part do I need to press to switch? The one marked in the picture. So far it hasn't worked.

Best regards
Thomas

There must be a mechanical selection somewhere... tried to open a CLD-D295 by rotating the white gear and the LD tray came out.
Same mechanism on the CLD-R4 and only the CD tray would come out.

Any hardware guru here with a hint?

Julien

Turn the load gear to put the unit mechanical assembly in the up play position. Turn the Laser movement gear to back the laser away from the spindle motor into the LD play position, then turn the load gear to lower the mechanical assembly and extend the tray.
