I figured I could use the info from another late player, but the V2800 seems a bit different, and I haven't figured out how to get rid of crosstalk yet. The Level 3 (RS-232) manual is everywhere - and useful because it has a PSC OFF option - but no sign of a service manual. Anyone got ideas? Thanks!

(On the plus side, my thrift-stored Denon D503-like player has little/no crosstalk and good frequency response )

More generally, has anyone ever adjusted de-emphasis (which results in ghosting/ringing)? I'm suspecting replacing the capacitor's the way to go, if I'm ever brave enough to do it. In practice for most uses, it's not too bad on most players... but fixing it would basically bring a player a class up in picture quality, I bet...

The CLJ35 service manual basically covers the V2800, it has the same layout.

Interestingly there was a PAL/NTSC version of the CJL, but the signal processing electronics are very poor by comparison - CCD time base correction and a very primitive comb filter with a 3.2mhz low pass filter on the luminance.
