hello, i'm french, i have an pioneer cld 1400 pal laserdisc player and i have test the modofication to make a pal/ntsc upgrade for my player.

I think, the upgrade is only for the 1450 (wich is a PAL/NTSC player)
The 1400 is a PAL only player and it will not play NTSC discs.
This mod is only for changing the video output.

The frequencies (and deemphasis*) used on PAL and NTSC disks are different, so a player's circuitry must be designed to do both. That's why you (probably) can't mod a US 919 to play PAL disks, even though there's a PAL version.

(* - that might explain why the 925 has such bad ringing on NTSC disks)
