I got a 702 shipped to me and it was really damaged. The faceplate was smashed in, and the tray needs to be coaxed out. Also, the board that the laser connects to was detached from the back of the alpha turn. I got that fixed, but now the player keeps blowing fuses.

I recall Kurtis saying for a 406 it was an arc suppressor but not sure.

I have a psu from a CLD 52 and it looks identical to the 702 psu except for the part number. Can the CLD 52 psu be put in the CLD D702?

No idea about the power supply issue but sorry about the shipping fiasco. Any recourse? Shipping is always such a roll of the dice. Image

Cut out the arc suppressor. Replace fuse with same ratings and it should power on, unless the psu went bad caused by the player being damaged.
You should replace the arc suppressor to protect your player for the future!

The arc suppressor should be close to the fuse or somewhere near the fuse. The fuse is protecting the arc suppressor if you know what I mean, so the fuse should be closer to the power inlet - probably on the left side of the unit.
When I changed the arc suppressor in my DVL-909, the arc suppressor were mounted after the glass fuse. The number on the pcb is d105, but could be different for your psu.
Could you open up the player and post a picture of the psu? :)
