I got a Pioneer CLD-S201. When I insert a disc, I hear a loud whirring sound and it spits the disc out. Doesn't acknowledge the disc. However, when I do the Fonzie and hit it on the top, it plays the disc fine. But I have to do it on both sides and everytime I hit play. And I don't want to keep beating my LD to get it to play. Any suggestions to what it is? Thanx in advance.

Sounds like a slipping rubber loading-belt. It's actually a fairly easy fix, once you have the replacement part: a small rubber belt about the size of an o-ring.

I'm not familiar with that particular player, but you should be able to google for it, but you could try either a SCQ4.0 or a SCB3.6 belt. Should a few bucks on ebay.

Good luck.
