so I want to get this straight. the disc plays fine in your other players, this one only shows those multi colored horizontal bars or is it those S shaped waves in the background????? whenever I've had those multicolored bars its either a defect on the disc or there is dirt of some type on the disc. if its dirt you can wipe it off with a shirt. do you have other discs that you have tried and played the entire disc through from start to finish???? ________________________________ the rein-o official signature:

Yes, I watched the whole movie through and only side 2 had issues.

You gently move to the right and left the by applying pressure to the front sides of the top metal piece of the mechanical assembly, you are not bending it enough to bend it plus your not pushing down or up.
