All LD players can have AC-3 RF added as it is on an analog track. If you can put circuits together yourself you can search the internet and get AC-3 mods then you need the service manual to find the points to connect to.

It will take 2 to 3 hours per units. Unless it is a player your keeping you'll never get your money out of it if you are selling these.

I don't plan on selling these and where would be a good place to find a service manual

I checked Pioneer parts and it is no longer available. I'd check eBay.

Understand CLD-D406 units go for $70 to $80 and they are dual sided players with optical digital and AC-3 RF. They are a better deal than the single sided V2600.

Ok i was just wondering because i already own a CLD-V2600 and was wondering if it was possible but it seems that it would be too much of a hassle to mod it then so I'll start looking around for a CLD-D406 or similar
