I don't use the player as much now as I used to, maybe just a few times a month now but the last couple of times it won't change from side A to B. Its won't auto change nor will it change if I press the side B button. The first time it did this if I powered off and on it fixed the issue but last night when trying to watch a film no matter what I did it wouldn't change. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? |

If it doesn't properly read the Table Of Contents (TOC) when initially spinning up the disc players default to a single sided mode. If you are having disc slipping issues this can definitely happen. |

Strangely enough the discs are slipping a bit. Whats the best way to fix this? Can the pressure applied to the disc be adjusted? |

Nope, you need to clean or replace the rubber mat. Good luck. |

I had the same problem for a bit with my X9. At times it sounded like it was slipping with normal and Muse discs, though the problem you describe only manifested with Muse discs (I assume most likely because of the higher spin up speed required). Anyway replacing the rubber mat totally fixed it. |

Took it apart and gave it a good clean. The mat was a bit dusty and now cleaned it seems to be working again. Time will tell as to how long it'll last but at least for now it's working again. Thanks for the advice. |

Some have said that the rubber mat is no longer made, so keep checking here if someone makes new ones or finds some old stock. Or if Pioneer finds some old stock. |
