Did you check the condition of the motor holder(VNL1700)? If it has cracks, gears can skip, as Kurtis pointed out earlier. Weight of the motor is enough to crack the original holder in transit. |

Hello, So I replaced the 4560 & LA6510. Unfortunately It didn’t solved the problem. I think that I will try to swap the main assy with one from my working player, like that I’ll know If the problem is coming from the main assy electronic or not. I checked lot of times the mecanic, for me It’s working greatly that side |

I replaced the motor with a working one from a CLD-S315, this thing has been fixed, it didn't solved the problem too  And I didn't found the "missing part" anywhere in the drive, so I guess it is not in it anymore. I dismounted the mecanics 2 times for now. |

And new information: I tried to swap the main assy with the one coming from a working unit: still E0 ! So I'm sure now that PSU & Main assy are not the cause of the E0 issue... It must be something I don't see... I'll try to swap the optical bloc with an other one, and check again the laser position switches. |

This is totally insane... I took a working poor CLD-S315 which have lot of "same" parts, to give to this CLD-D925: - took the motor (you saw the broken part, now it's good) - took the little pcb with the 2 switchs - took the big black block (the block which make all the drive going up & down) - swapped the optical blocks nothing change !!! This error is driving me totally crazy As said before, I also tried to swap the main assy board with the one coming from my working CLD-D925, and it's the same Now I think I tried everything, what could be the problem???

Just to clarify, it gets to the point where the motor moves up and clamps the disc but it doesn’t spin at all. Is that correct? Can you hear the high frequency whine of the motor controller? |

Actually, if I manually open the tray and power on the drive: 1. The tray closes 2. The loading mechanism is going "up" 3. The carriage assy (optical block) moves to the first endcourse-switch then go back a little 4. E0... Then to open it again I have to manually turn the gear for the loading mechanism go down, then the tray opens

So it’s either refusing to move because it doesn’t see a disk or the clamping hasn’t engaged whatever feedback is needed to satisfy the controller. It’s another machine of course, but when my 99 showed E0 in a similar situation it was because the motor was defective which causes a high current drain and then it shows E0. It still would eject the disc though. With a CD you could give a little help and it would try to spin but it couldn’t reach target RPM. If you think the disc is fully mounted try to hit Play and spin it a little and see if the motor takes over a little. I can’t remember if you tried a CD or not. If not, we should be doing that now because CDs mount easier than LDs. Can you manually move the laser to another position and will it rerun to center when powered up? Btw, the broken spindle pad is almost certainly caused by human. I can’t see how that would ever happen from use so clearly someone has been in these units before you.

I told it few messages ago but the motor has been replaced by one coming from a CLD-S315 When I move the laser to another position it rerun to center when I power up the drive, yes Something I didn't change is the "sensor" on the motor (part named "FG assy") |

Error solved! After some time spent today I noticed something... a switch position which was not good (in comparaison with an other D925)... Here is a little pic  And now it works fine! Finally after some weeks/months opened on my workplan, I can remount it Next step will be alignement, I bought the GGV disc & service remote Thanks a lot to everybody who helped me
