Post subject:  [CLD-D750] User manual and service manual

Got a CLD-D750 recently, unit only without remote and no manual. I can live without the remote but I'll keep an eye out at work for a possible compatible(?) one anyway.

I believe this model is the same as D701 but D750 has voltage switch (I don't know for sure I'm a complete noob with LD hardware), I think the user manual is shared between the two models but I have no idea about the service manual.

Already checked the Hardware PDF Manuals here and I can't see what I need (but maybe I'm blind  ).
Anybody here have D750 or D701 manuals they can throw at the server, please? :)

Did some digging, yes CLD-D701 & CLD-D750 do share the same user manual.

Can't find any information about the service manual so I don't know if that's shared.

It appears the original remote for CLD-D750 is CU-CLD068 (VXX1721), which is the same remote for models CLD-D701 & CLD-D702.
Any idea if there are other remote models compatible with any of these laserdisc units?

Still need pdf copies of user and service manuals.

Remotes for the most part are compatible across players.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.
All CLD remotes are compatible across CLD units? Or any jog remote will work?

CLD and LD models. I tend to use the same remote across all my players. You might have a few buttons that do not work.
I like to have the original remotes to players I acquire if I can get them for a decent price, but this really isn't necessary unless you need a specific button/buttons for a player (i.e. CLD-99 DNR).

So CU-CL0051 or CU-CLD106 remotes should work?

Yeah he is right almost all remotes are compatible with all players as long as it is the same brand. Both Pioneer remotes I have work with all three Pioneer players I have. And neither remote directly matches any of the players. I got a cheap remote off ebay just to have one then got a nicer one from a user here for free.

Those will work fine but I would see about getting one with a jog/shuttle control so you can take advantage of your player's trick play functions better.

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately there aren't any realistic options for me to get a jog type remote like the original. All I can see would cost more than my player and would have to be imported, probably from the US. No way to know for sure if they're ok and I've had some bad experiences getting stuff from NA...obviously not everything though (oh hai Gyp :) ), but it's a significant rate of damage and other shenanigans.

Just for reference, both UM and SM are available here: https://manuals.lddb.com/LD_Players/Pioneer/CLD/CLD-D750/
