Are you sure the transformer is bad? That is pretty uncommon, but I've had it happen to me on an older unit. I think this board has an arc suppression on it, so I would check that first (if the fuse is blown). If it is indeed the transformer, have you checked the big electronics suppliers to see if they have a match?

I've got a V880 sitting around with a working power supply if you're interested. I would definitely make sure you cut out the Arc Suppressor first before you go getting too surgical on the player.
