Hi everyone, I just acquired a Pioneer CLD-D501 from e-bay, the player is having difficulty ejecting the disc tray, I'm guessing something may have happened during shipping. If I give the top a good smack it will eject the tray and play a disc normally, if I press the eject button multiple times is will sometimes eject, but it sounds like it's struggling to do so. My guess is either the belt that dives the gears is no longer elastic or the gears are worn. I've lubricated all the portions that drive the tray and have had no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the belt first and if that still doesn't help, try this: [CLD-D501][CLD-D502][CLD-D701][CLD-D702] Clamper Disassembly

This is common on CLD-Dx01s and CLD-Dx02s.
