Hey everyone, not my CLD-A100 is not able to focus the laser. I had just repaired the entire player by replacing all the capacitors and belts and it was working pretty good. It would play and LD (blade runner criterion) all the way through except the very end of would skip a little. Well it was working for about a week but now it won’t recognize any discs (LD or CD). When I looked at the operation of putting in a disc, I notice the laser was not moving up and down to focus. It was essentially standing still. It would still move up and down the track like normal, but it wouldn’t focus. Any idea what the cause of this may be? Thank you all in advance! |

Check all ICPs for continuity. |
