Just want to thank Kurtis again and publicly for taking on my X0 for repair, since he is basically the only one capable of working on it I would have been out of luck without him. Incredibly nice person, allowed me to pickup in person from his home, thanks again Kurtis for this and for everything you do for the entire community.

I have Kurtis to thank for getting my DVL repaired. I think it's great someone is still willing to put time in a very niche field.
His service is invaluable to us all.

Big thanks personally to the members posting props for a "job well done".

As time marches on it is inevitable that our players will need the special maintenance only a skilled
Technician can provide.

Hats off to Kurtis .......

Keep up the epic efforts !

Did you have a contact address. I need a player fixed and it's proving a nightmare to find anyone who still repairs them.
Seriously I spend a week ringing round all the UK and none repairs them anymore. It's a nightmare

Regards

Roger

I had two players badly smashed and I was lucky to find a company in England that was able to repair them last month so if anyone wants their machines repaired I'll gladly pass on the information.

regards

Roger

Hi Roger, yes I’d be interested in a repair centre in England. What are their details?

Two of my machines ((925's) were badly damaged and he repaired them at a reasonable cost.
Superb work all round.

If he asks how you heard of him, just mention my name Roger Shore.

You won't regret it. One of my players I'd tried to get fixed 3 times but none would touch it with a barge pole but Stephen ran with it and had it repaired in a few weeks and I'm talking serious damage not just a general maintenance.

Thanks for the tip. I've a few players that now need some work and I don't fancy my chances of sending them to USA so a contact in the UK is very useful!

Not to my knowledge. Yes they have serious experience on laserdisc players. One of the players I sent was seriously smashed up and none could repair it but they did. The 1st time the player was working in 8 years.

that's great to know they managed to fix your player.

how is it with spare parts?
many parts are since many years NLA, how do they manage to fix players?
aftermarket parts available?

Doesn't seem to have any problems getting parts just the time to mend the machines.
