| Post subject: | [DVL-91] Looking for remote or alternatives. |
I recently acquired a DVL-91 Elite player without a remote and Googling a remote doesn't seem to come up with any helpful results. All places to get a replacement are discontinued. Are there any alternative remotes for other players I can purchase that will work with it? Can I program a universal remote to it? Anything will help. Thanks a lot!

yes, you can program a universal remote, you can also use quite common pioneer dvd player remotes. every single pioneer dvd remote i have had have worked fine with the DVL-players. Only issue i had was using the menu system, but im sure that should work fine with a universal remote |

I use a CU-DV034 remote with mine, but also use programmable remotes (Marantz/Pronto, Crestron systems, Harmony, etc.). In a pinch I use my other DVL remotes (CU-DV001, originally for the DVL-90, I think), but they lack some of the functions. Pretty sure I got the commands from Remotecentral.com, and might have learned a few myself. je |

Thanks everyone. I did manage to program my DirecTV remote to it but that only works for stuff like Pause and Chapter selection. I'll wait until Pioneer has the DVL-919 remote in stock and give that a try. |

Remotes should have the remote control for the DVL-919. I bought my remote control from them a couple of weeks ago. Unless they have it in stock, it will take a week for them to get it + a few days of shipping to you. |

If you really want a DVL-91 remote now I believe I have a brand new one. I definitely have a used one. |

The prices I find them at go for as much as half of what I paid for the player. (I got it and 100+ discs off of craigslist for $175, which is a steal compared to what they go for on ebay.) |
