I have this very same problem on my DVL-919. I have no idea why. I typically power cycle the player and it goes away... for a bit.

Every once in awhile, after I place a LD in the player, and close the draw, press PLAY on the remote, disc does not spin, and I get the message on the TV screen, "Just wait a moment". After about 45 seconds, the message disappears, and the disc spins, and it plays. When this happens, all the keys on the remote do not function, except eject, power, and stop. It also happens on manual side change. Any ideas? |

Sounds like confusion between the DVD and LD sections to me. Annoying, though! |
