Post subject:  [DVL-700] Died with 230V

Hello, i will try to explain my problem because I'm bad with english  .

I bought a DVL-700 years ago, the player worked very well at all... until I killed it (It was my fault, I plugged it into 230 volts  ). After that I checked the unit and the fuse was blown I replaced it for the same (125V 3.15A) and blew up again...
So what can be the cause of this? ¿PSU?
I dont know anything of LD repair not even remove the tray for check it :lolno: , I hope someone can help me with this... Thanks.

If the arc-suppressor diode is shorted, the fuse will blow every time you apply power. This is a component on the power-supply board right next to the fuse ; someone should be able to point it out to you. Snip one lead, & the problem should be solved temporarily, but you will want to replace the component for continued safe operation.

If the surge protector was bad it would read "0" ohms. So either the L1 coil is bad or most likely the bridge diode is blown.
