Ive just bought a DVL-91 that have a power problem. I looked around the net and many people are talking about the D105 is problably the reason for the fuse blow out directly. So i have the name UK1V26, but cant find any info about it or where to get a substitute for it. I live in Sweden and if anyone have some info that would be great.

It is just a surge or spike suppressor. As long as you have protection from this you can just remove the part.

What kind of protection? I've found a couple of similar Transient Voltage Suppressor TVS Diodes on ebay but how many A is needed. Been searching for the Data sheet for the UK1V26 but doesnt seem to find it.

TVS will work. The original Pioneer part was actually underrated for the application and a higher rating was suggested. Just buy a surge suppressor you plug into the wall and plug the unit into that. Then you can just cut the part out of the player.

Ok thank you. But if ill buy a TVS diode do you know how much voltage or amp it should have?

The K1V26 Breakover voltage is 240 to 265 Volts. So I'd get something a little larger.

Could anybody be so kind and tell me which diode will do as replacement? Would a P6KE250A (https://www.fairchildsemi.com/products/ ... E250A.html) do the job?

I'd get the P6KE350 or AP6KE400A. The original one was 265V breakover and was a little too small

Thanks Kurtis, any other diodes that would work and are easily available?

These are not normal diodes, diodes will fail. These are suppressors so that is what you have to use.
