Post subject:  [DVL-H9] Loop

I have a DVL-H9 that loops around at the same 3 - 7 seconds over and over, I have completely disassembled the mechanics checked the M-Holder gears tracks etc ... cleaned with iso-propyl alcohol and greased with molly grease.

Before doing this the looping always started after about 20 seconds on A side. It seems the cleaning and greasing of parts improved situation now it skips after 2 minutes 30 seconds on A side. Just before starting the loop I hear a faint click or tick sound.

Could that be a gear skipping on the track ? What else could cause these type of issues besides lack of grease and M-Holder ?

Thanks /// Carl

Maybe an obvious question but how is the disc? Is it badly scratched?

Could be the molly grease or even the belt.
Good luck.

It doesn't matter what disc I play they all behave the same way, but to answer the question no the disc is not scratched.

I don't think there are any belts involved in playback, the pickup is moving using rack and pinion and the spindle is direct drive no belt. The belt is only for loading mechanism which is working just fine.
