Someone gave me a dvl player.
with ld loaded it suddenly starts accelerating very fast upon the point it stops without being able to play any video. same with dvd and cd.
it loads and recognizes disc types without a problem. from time to time with an empty tray it looks like it can't decide what laser to choose... sometimes the dvd laser starts " looking for nothing" and repeats the cycle again and again parking and changing with the ld laser... it is exhausting to watch
when it attempts to play a disc the velocity spinning appears to go up in an attempt to play the disc and then FULL stop.
thinking the disc might be slipping but it doesn't squeek or looks like a worn grip ring. I never had a grip ring issue with a dvl or cld-d925, 515 , 315..
any toughts on where to look?
