Hi Guys, Hope you all well, I have a DVL 909 and dig it out of my storage to use.
Can any body help please.

Found a dvd stick in side so I removed it. In doing this a stainless bar got dislodged see pics, I think I now where it goes. But not sure which end goes on the seated shaft. Is it the mashed grove end that mounts on the shaft or the flat end Please help an Aussie sort this await your comments. Regards tc

Oh that doesn't look good. That guide fits into the white piece at the end next to the black screw with locking compound and runs to the white piece on the other side. If I had a photo of the other side I would post it. Not sure if you can get that back in there without removing and flipping the top plate over.

Going off memory, so take these steps with extreme skepticism:
Unplug the blue and white wire. Remove it from under the white clips that hold it to the top metal piece.
Unscrew the single screw holding the white plastic piece with the notch that the guide goes through and remove it.
Remove the 4 black screws (and one grounding screw) holding the top metal plate in place.
Carefully remove the metal plate.

Flip it over and see if you can get the guide back in or if any of the plastic is broken. You will need to probably recenter side B after all of this which is awful without an oscilloscope.

Wait and see if anyone else has any input before disassembling anything further though.
