Hi folks,

So four years ago i got a Denon LA-2300A which was listed as not working. When it arrived it was working fine but the loading belt needed to be repeared, which i did. Since then i also add to repare the power part, had to replace some capa.

But today i have another proble with it. So i was loading a disc in it, and the player simply got jammed while starting to play. I opened the player and remove the disc. I've looked for the problem and dircovered that one of the gear of the laser mecanims was broken, i replaced it with a spare one i had from a similar player, and now, none of the motor want to spin. I checked if it was the new gear, but now, the mecanism works when i turn it by hand. Also, the motor that drive the tray and the loading mecanism doesn't work either.

The Player does goes on, but show the E3 error after a short time. So does anybody have advise for how to repare this problem ?

Did you put in a new M holder? the grey ones might break when you put it in. You won't be able to see it but the pins holding the little white gears might be broken.

I did, and i also checked if the new holder didn't broke either.

But i think this player is toast, as now it woudln't even turn on despite that the power supply output the correct voltage.

But thanks for the answer

My guess is that the power supply has a fault. It might not be able to power the components when under strain.
