Does anyone know the key-combination for this player to enter the DEBUG or TEST mode?

The ones for the Sony HIL-C2EX will not work. Also the player only reacts to Panasonic remote codes (tested with an IM-1313 univesral remote and a Sony for the MDP-650D) regardless of the setting Normal / Panasonic on the top board or the switch on the inside of the backpane.

I have a device that does not spin up the LD. It recognizes weather an LD is present but no spin-up. I wanted to diagnose the error with the TEST / DEBUG mode.

Have you tried some of the ways to get into the test mode that Pioneer used?

They might work.
Sorry I can't help more.
If you do find out how to get into the test mode please post for others.

Sony U.S. Model NTSC players commonly had special test jigs that needed to be connected to adjust electronic registers. If the MUSE player is the same putting it in test mode would not be any help unless you knew how to get into the processor to change the electronic registers.

This sounds like an absolute nightmare.
