Thanks for posting, wanted to make sure you had what you had or I didn't know what you had  Even though it says CD-Video its still a Laserdisc. Don't know why you are having trouble with that disc. The 900 is a good player, I didn't care for it but the player is a very good one. If it is a weak laser you need to figure out how to adjust. I'm just throwing this out there, it could be centering? It should play CDs then you can figure out issues from there. I'm no tech. |

Not sure why it doesn't like anything so far but that one Laserdisc. It should play CDs then you can figure out issues from there. I'm no tech. Yeah, I'm not sure what the deal is with that disc. I just got another disc, and I'm going to give it a try tomorrow. It also is very finicky with CDs. I have CDs from the same era as this machine (1992) and either they won't spin up and if they do try to spin up, it's unsuccessful tracking them. So far, 10 CDs and no luck with any of them playing.  |

Most LDs have two stereo tracks, the Digital and the analog. You can listen to either through the RCA jacks. It may be hard to differentiate unless you have a disc with significantly different content between the tracks (like language). Using the player’s digital out (which can only play the Digital track) would also tell you but you don’t need to set that up to hear the Digital track, just to have it sent digitally to the amplifier.
