This is a Philips / Magnavox clone and based on a player that I believe is from around 1990 so it was way before error codes were a thing. rec11 wrote: No, both the front display and the picture blink "Play" until it ejects the disc Do you even hear the disc spinning up? If not, you might have a stretched loading belt as a weak belt would not have enough torque to ensure a tight clamp on the disc and thus the player would refuse to spin up if that was the case. Have you tried a CD?

Have you tried a CD? The disc does not spin at all. CD spins then gets ejected.

rec11 wrote: I have a Monarchy Audio DT-40A. When I put a disc into the player the display selects LD but it stays at Chapter 0. After 15 seconds or so it ejects the disc. I can hear some things moving around when I select play and stop but it never can find chapter 1. I have tried more than one disc
Is this is a common issue? What could be the issue?
Thanks Maybe the guy that built them could help. Ching C Poon monarchy@earthlink.net
