I the remote from Pioneer is going to be ok. Not sure but I can't think of any reason they took the effort to make their own RC I think it's Pioneer all the way. Don't you have a Pio remote to try?

I tried the CLD-99 remote codes on my Harmony remote and Logitech has awful codes for LaserDisc (I have the option to switch between Disk 1, Disk 2, Disk 3, Disk 4, and Disk 5. ) , though I at least could power it on and off which makes me think it does work. Although, the NR control doesn't seem to be on the face of the CLD-99 either, and the "MEMO" and "SELECT" buttons on the original remote have a box drawn around them that say "V-DNR 3D" and I'm assuming no other remote has "MEMO" or "SELECT" buttons?

kris wrote: You didn't force the drawer in did you? Just snap it in until the two plastic springs click! once there you should power up the player again and it should retract properly My bad, I missed this post since it was at the end of the first page. The drawer went in without needing to be forced since before the belt was replaced. Where are these two plastic springs I should make click? krbahr wrote: There is a guide on the bottom of the drawer that tells the electronics the drawer is all the way out. The way it works it is still the same, most likely you remember it wrong. Sorry, I'm confused about this, what am I supposed to do again? Here's an picture of what I'm talking about (the left side is what happens if I let it eject and the right is after I pull it out the last little bit)

krbahr wrote: The reason it takes a minute to slow down and won't play side B is because the grip ring on top of the spindle motor is slipping. You need to clean it or replace. Pioneer is out of stock until sometime in March.
This unit only has one spring tab to remove the tray, that I'm sure is the spring you were asking about.
Concerning how far the drawer comes out, as long as the unit was in open mode when you re-inserted the tray then it is working fine. There are no adjustments. This worked wonders! I took some alcohol and Q-tips to the white ring on the spindle motor (that was the grip ring, right?) and it plays both sides and spits the disc out in 15 seconds. The tray still won't open the last inch or so (and it feels like there's a lot of resistance when I move it in or out that little bit, like a knife through ice cold butter). That I can live with though.
