Just a quick review for those of you looking for LD Repair, Grasshopper (Duane) on these forums fixed me up pretty good.

One of the players I have been looking for is the McIntosh MLD-7020 which I have discovered is not easy to come by. When one popped up on eBay on March 10th I jumped on it, only problem is it was not working, seller described as "discs not spinning".

I contacted Duane and he was ok with the player being shipped directly to him to save time and shipping costs. He received the item on March 14th, fixed the issue (needed new laser assembly which luckily he had one used in stock) and shipped it out March 17th. Thanks to the distance between us transit time was only one day and I received on March 18th. I am very happy with Duane, his work, and his communication throughout the process and would highly recommend him for anyone in need of repairs. The only issue I have is that the AC-3 is not working but I do not fault Duane for this as this was never listed as an issue and I did not ask him to look at that. I am not even going to worry about the AC-3 since I am so happy with this player as is. I popped in the SE Return of the Jedi last night and just enjoyed the picture this wonderful player shows.

I now have a working player that is the centerpiece of my system:

Yes excellent work but just as important is the communication. I was told exactly what is happening every step of the way, can't really ask for more than that.
