Hello! While trying to finish importing all the data provided by blam1, I encountered these connectors I had never seen before. If you have info on them (their technical name or standard, I'm interested!). 1/ First was a connector only found on KENWOOD units: Attachment: KENWOOD1.jpg [ 9.76 KiB | Viewed 1275 times ] Attachment: KENWOOD2.jpg [ 23.88 KiB | Viewed 1275 times ] It seems to be a KENWOOD version of the VHF DC Mono adapter found on many Pioneer? Pioneer was selling the Pioneer JA-RF3L RF modulator, KENWOOD's manual mentions the Kenwood RFM-100 to do the same thing. 2/ SONY players that have both Europe and North America have slight differences. I know the SCART/PERITEL connector well for the Europe models: Attachment: SONY-Scart.jpg [ 10.72 KiB | Viewed 1275 times ] But for the US models, this is replaced with this weird (at least to me) TV connector with a lock pulse: Attachment: Was is a standard in North America? The top example at least to me looks to be an 8 pin DIN standard socket not too dissimilar to the 5 pin variants that used to found on early 1970s hifi components e.g. reel to reel & cassette tape decks, its the way the 8 pins are configured that seems unusual though - as you suggest is this unique to Kenwood and one or two other brands I don’t know? The second one I’ve never seen the like of before! |
