That's Tony Kwong's list. The original, which is still being updated, is here.

From what I remember the last NEW amp that included an AC3-RF input was the Pioneer LX-90 aka Susano.
It has HDMI and tons of other toys, but no 3D support. It's a bit too old for that.
Your best chance is an external AC3-RF decoder, hooked up to a new amp that supports all your needs.

Which model works with any almost Pioneer laserdisc player with Dolby AC-3 direct to the AVR I mean can it be done without the AC-3 demodulator.

Any of the units in the list (go to the AVS Forum link for the current corrected version) under "Receiver / integrated amp" will have the AC-3 RF input with internal demodulator, so no external unit will be needed. That's why they're on the list. If you have an external demodulator, you can use any amplifier with Dolby Digital input via digital input ; if you have an external processor, you can use any amplifier with multi-channel analog inputs.

Mate that really does pee me off! That none of the my AVR have that feature built into as mandatory!

I think I get what you’re saying cheers for that information its helped.

Well my Kenwood KRF-X9050D THX select there is no luck there for getting Dolby AC-3 from the laserdisc player

Same goes with S/H Yamaha that I brought this year Yamaha RX-V650 which I brought as it has 8channel RCA in and I can use it with Sony BDP-S550 to get DolbyTrueHD dtsHD.

But it was dead stick for trying to get Dolby AC-3 I tried different outputs from the player DVL-909 no luck I need an AC-3 demodulator!

if you have a 909 player then I would get the Pioneer VSA-E08 or the cheaper Pioneer VSX-859RDS, Pioneer VSX-909. I had the E08 for about a year, its a great reciever with AC-3, and can be found for next to nothing, here in sweden I think its usally around 250-300 GBP. But what I liked the most is that they match the design line of the 919 and 909 players. If you have the champagne-colored player. And of course it actually had input dedicated for LD!

But I got tired of not having HDMI-input and got myself a AC-3 dem. and a new reciever with hdmi. traded it for a reel to reel player which I now regrets, I will buy one again in the future just becouse of the facts I wrote.

I bought a lexicon ldd1 from bay about a month or so. 3 days later I bought a cld97 with some 300 lds the seller included his lexicon ldd1 with this sale. Now I have 2 lexicon ldd1 rf demodulators. Im using one on main setup with yamaha rx-a3000. I found a denon avr1905 for $50 I will use the second one with that one in my bedroom.

Have a Kenwood KRV-990D at home that i used for years direct from a Kenwood LVD 290 for AC3 soundtracks. Amp was a workhorse. Even though I use demodulators for my LD players hooked to Yamaha amps, kept the 990D to have anyway. Still works great.

I have a Harman Kardon ADP-303, modified to switch between optical in and AC3 RF in and in stead of the 5.1 analog outputs, an optical output.

Works great! :)

Add to the receiver listing, the NAD T770, which supports AC-3RF.

I've always been annoyed that I saved up for months to get my home cinema setup, a budget package sold by UK vendor Richer Sounds, and finally got the money together TWO DAYS after they sold the last of their amps with AC-3 RF input. I ended up with an amp that's better in other respects, but it would have been nice to have that built in.

So which is a basic package that gives you AC-3 RF to SPDIF (preferably optical) or 5-channel component, won't cost an arm and a leg, and runs on 240v?
