Next code to write: multiple selection of devices (to assign one looked-up part # to several devices, ex: VNL1700).

Getting there: https://www.lddb.com/_test.php

Right now I only have a test dataset of: DEB1169 -> LD-S9 and DEB1169 -> HLD-X9 to play with.

Must still figure out if parts should be (#1) treated as a (rather dumb and simple) device and added to the main hardware database or if (#2) I should treat them as a separate entity altogether.

#1 is easy but I foresee trouble in the future for scaling/expanding.
#2 will require more careful coding.

My current definition of "Device" is something that requires electrical power, was sold commercially with a public model name and price.

Then "Parts/Accessories" are anything not sold retail (service manuals, etc. like PacParts.com), electrical or not (plastic parts, remote controls, books, anything else) that only requires a Brand/Reference/Description and can be associated with 1 or more devices.

Another CDV-only player, the Sharp CD-V900 BK

I don't know exactly the I/O of the device. I don't own one. I came across this one in a small brochure i bought via Buyee.
It is part of a (midi) audio system called LIVE 900 CDV

At first I was like "well that's just a Japanese version of V2600" but then I saw the optical output. Is that RF connector the same as AC-3 as well?

Even if it isn't, that's a pretty well specced machine for a professional model.
