edwin240170 wrote: Super thanks again for all your work ! Oh, most of the compilation/connectors/etc for the LD Players is the hard work from blam1. I'm completing with other devices and more details but he did a lot of research by completing existing data sets! edwin240170 wrote: I wanted to do update on CLD-D925, when I pushed submit I got a long message (looked like the full dB entry for this player) That would be some left-over debug code... Could you try again? edwin240170 wrote: There is a check for : "This PAL Player can only play Analog soundtrack" => I would remove the word "only" as you have "This player can play Digital Audio soundtrack" and in case of CLD-D925 it can play both analog and digital PAL discs, so if you check them both it is ok, in case of CLD-1950, you dont check the first one. Ah.... yes you got that right, better then me! Indeed some PAL player couldn't do both Digital and Analog, I'll modify this now! edwin240170 wrote: With comb filter, could you add 3-line as option ? OK I probably need inputs there. What are the possible filter types? A quick googling finds: http://www.cockam.com/vidcomb.htm- Two Line
- Three Line
- Three line 2D -- I guess we can still call it 2D?
- 3D
Should it be the full set of possible options? I updated the tables as follows: - Two Line
- Three Line
- Three line 2D
- 3D (Motion Adaptive)

Pioneer CLD-3070So this player is: Compatible with CX-encoded analog soundtrack and This player can play Digital Audio soundtrack Will it play DTS or non CX analog audio discs? I know from reading other posts that this type of detail really needs to be spelled out for some of the new LD fans.

Both yes. Any player with a digital audio capability will output the DTS soundtrack on the digital track as-is, the decoder/receiver will do the decoding. CX can be turned off manually but usually the player will read the TOC and know that the disc is not CX encoded (ex: multi-audio or very old releases). Everything is described in https://www.lddb.com/help/sound/Julien

Just need to be clearer on the main page otherwise these new members will be lost in the woods yet again. They barely have a grasp on how to use yellow video cables since there is no HDMI on Laserdisc players.

Just as an FYI, I'm pretty sure the CX flag is not related to TOC since many of the discs I own lack the TOC coding but will control when CX is activated or not.

Then how can the player know if the tracks are CX-encoded without a TOC? The original LD FAQ said CX noise reduction can be turned on and off anytime on a disc by the player (controlled by the disc itself).. TOC will tell you if the disc has chapter, which side you're playing, etc. Even old discs must have some basic TOC contents? Or is it encoded in the video itself ( via the VBI)? Julien

Not sure how it actually works but it appears that Disclord mentioned how it was implemented..... disclord wrote: Tha DA/CX button on the 900's remote will switch the CX on and off if it doesn't have the auto CX coding, and most discs do. The onscreen display will show CX ON/Off. It's the same for your pioneer, the DA button will switch it on and off, again, only if it doesn't have auto switching. If you play an old Non CX disc with CX on, you will get audio level changes constantly as the CX tries to decode audio that wasnt encoded. Once minutes/seconds were added to discs, so was auto CX switching. It can't be over ridden on anything but the early top loading players. The instructions on how to activate CX are in the manuals. This seems to make sense to me since I don't recall a lot of USA pressed discs having TOC when I got into LD back in 1988 and yet CX was always automated (Japanese releases in 1988 seemed to have TOC all the time unless they had no chapters or digital sound).

ldfan wrote: Not sure how it actually works but it appears that Disclord mentioned how it was implemented..... Chapters/Time/Frame # are encoded in the VBI, so it's definitely included in one of these 24 bits of data. Also where CC is encoded. No TOC required. Julien

Quite many updates: - Added more connectors like IR in/out , MIDI in/out, 12V triggers in/out, XLR in (microphones), 4-pin XLR (balanced headphones)
- Sorted audio codec by Dolby and DTS
- Added Philips/Marantz type of IN/OUT remote repeaters
- Reorganized the AUDIO IN and OUT section
- Moved the DAC and Digital Audio processing to the AUDIO OUT section
- Modified LDG section into Graphics (to include CDG and LDG decoders)
