Any chance there can be a button added to the submission pages to add the disc to your collection as it is with updated listings?

Because all submitted titles don't make it to the main catalog (some get deleted, some get merged), I can't automate that as transparently as the Update process...

That makes sense. It's just a drag when you have a few titles to be submitted and you can't remember which ones to add them to your collection.

What I could do is sent a specific Email to the submitter with a body message in the line of "Your entry has been accepted and can now be found at lddb.com/xxx/12345.

I like this, however would it not be possible to see the newly submitted titles already in the database with a strikt marking the title has not yet been officially been validated by you?

I do not know the quality of the submissions, I always try to be as precise as possible,
I know you are very busy and it takes time to get the validation done, however this gives already visibility for the new posted titles as for very good reasons it takes time before you can validate them all.

That's interesting (instead of the "N titles pending validation" in the bottom), a little juggling of SQL to JOIN both catalog tables (live and pending).

But you would still not be able to add to your collection until it's validated.

I'll play a little with this to see if the CPU doesn't get hit too hard first.

No, you are fully right & it is correct like this to me, but everyone will see a title has been posted, so you will not get duplicates of submissions during the time you did not validate the pending submission request.

I played a little with regexp on SQL statements to get what I had in mind.

Basically a list telling you simply "... and N pending titles"

... will now actually show you these N titles:

... will now correctly tell you that something is actually there:


It's in Dev mode right now, not yet pushed to the live server has I still have to test for side effects (it might break reference or advanced searching, etc.)
