Post subject: | Feedback / suggestions for the collection database |
Hello, I'm putting my whole laserdisc collection on LDDB but I'm wondering one thing. Isn't it possible to add a new field category? I have movie, music and sport discs. I use the notes field for it now and rename it in Excel to Category but I can't use the Notes field for anything else anymore. Maybe another thing is the possibiilty to disable fields that don't go in the export? I know it is possible to delete these in Excel. Another thing that can be usefull is a field where you can thick if the disc has rot or not. I know there is the field Condition but I don't want to rate my discs like this. A simple yes or no would do so I can see if I have to look for a better copy or not. I hope to get some replies on my feedback! p.s. I moved this topic from another section. I think it belongs better in this section. |

I'll review the collection interface when I add the hardware/parts sections. But adding multiples customs fields is not very practical. What I'd do it to use some kind of separator such as "|" and use Excel's data-to-column function based on |. Grading is especially designed for grading, having an extra field for exactly the same purpose would be quite pointless. It it's rotten, I put mine at 1/10 and move on. Julien |
