I have two suggestions for the advanced search. 1. An option to search for titles NOT in my collection. Helps finding missing titles. 2. Search for cancelled titles or remove cancelled titles from search. I tried 0 or -1 as release year but that doesn't work. Info contains "Cancelled" will show titles but I'm not sure if that is accurate as it would need a "Cancelled" in the notes and it does not allow to remove Cancelled titles from a search. |

We already talked about 1. and I won't do it because it will continuously match 10,000's of titles if the search is not precise enough... 2. To remove cancelled titles from results, there is a trick with advanced search. Since we are using "1900" as the release date for cancelled titles, you can set "Release date > 1900" to remove them. Ex: Every DTS LDs (incl. cancelled ones) => https://www.lddb.com/search.php?adv_search=*&adv_reference=&sound=6&format=ld - 159 entries Every DTS LDs (excl. cancelled ones) => https://www.lddb.com/search.php?adv_search=*&adv_reference=&release=1900&release_op=after&sound=6&format=ld - 140 entries Julien |

That does not work properly. Neither does != 1900 Searching for all Laserdiscs released in Germany => 1545 Searching for all Laserdiscs released in Germany > 1900 release date => 848 There are not 700 cancelled titles. Yes, 1 could match thousands of titles but we have the 5000 limit anyways. Currently I'm trying to figure out, how many titles released (for sale, no promotional items) in Germany I'm missing and that would result in less than 500 results. Then I "only" have to remove the promo items. That would be a lot less work than searching for all releases from Germany and show titles in collection and manually copy / paste the missing ones in a calc table. |

And that's the issue, search engines will trigger and search automatically, industrially, and bring my server's CPU to a crawl. That's why it can't be easily added without triggering a computing storm. However, if you have the search you want, pushing "2" will re-load the titles you have in collection with a [+]. You can easily see the ones you're missing. Julien |

I think there is another issue with that search. Cause if I select == 1900 I would expect the cancelled titles to be shown but I get no results. I also don't see why == 1900 should include titles without a release date. They should have an empty field and not 1900 in it. |
