Julien, Is there any way to display the collection by Cover art? Sometimes I want to pick out movies to watch but I can't always identify movies by their title, it would be great to be able to display my movie collection by cover art. I know there is the "icover" but that only displays a few at a time, and you can't print it or look at all the covers at once. It would be great to have a selection where you can display dozens or even hundreds of titles with cover art in a large grid. Any possibility of this? Thanks. I took a screen capture of my music playing software as it kind of shows what "concept" I'm thinking about... |

Hello! Have you tried playing with the "COOLIRIS" button on the left column when you are browsing your collection? http://www.cooliris.com/desktop/ (Web Archive link) The 3D add-on is quite nice! Attachment: cooliris.jpg [ 33.27 KiB | Viewed 2585 times ] Regards, Julien |

Eventually I could add a "cover only" collection display. Initially I postponed that part because the % of available covers would have made it look quite sad. Maybe it's now time for it. Julien |

I tried it but It only displays one cover at a time (with a horizontal strip of multiple covers on the bottom). I can't get it to look like the one you have pictured? I click on the "view this in 3D" but it just takes me to their website. Also, cooliris doesn't seem to work in Opera web browser, only IE. |

Turns out it's not so much supported anymore: FF12 not, IE9 not... Sad. It was a nice plugin working with Google Image and Facebook Well, maybe time for the cover-only collection display At least you can try my little flash effort right above Cooliris: iCover Attachment: Julien |

Julien, Thanks for trying, I give you full credit for offering us different options. Your coding/web skills are awesome, regardless! I agree, if time allows, having a native html based cover display would be great. It would be really awesome if you can define the rows and columns. Like 15x10. I could look through my 700 disk collection with just a few pages! That would be really cool. Thanks for all your efforts Julien, I speak for all the lddb members when I say we really appreciate it! |

(for completion) iCover 1.0 was also discontinued because Adobe Flash is going extinct and was replaced by pure Javascript/CSS iCover 2.0. => https://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?p=112829#p112829 Julien |
