Did any of the Charles Bronson movies ever make laserdisc besides "Death Wish" series? Specifically "St. Ives" and "Mr. Majestyk" i'm interested in knowing about as if they did, i'd like to hunt em down. I did read confirmation that "Telefon" never made it to LD...wondering if any others did.

I took a look at the 50 first entries of IMDb for movies with C. Bronson (not necessarily "starring") and found 63 LDs:

Thanks Julien. How did you do that search? I was trying to figure out how to search by actor and couldn't figure it out.

I tried to automate this some time ago but IMDb keeps changing their page structure so it broke down...

Basically on a IMDb search such as: http://www.lddb.com/search/IMDb/1234567 you can add more IMDb # with + such as http://www.lddb.com/search/IMDb/1234567+2345678+3456789

I copied the IMDb entry for this actor and filtered the /title/ttxxxxxxx/ to get the xxxxxxx into a list of +'s.

Actually IMDb seemed to have made things easier now to parse efficiently.

I have to limit the IMDb# per category to 50 to avoid overloading the SQL engine with very, very long requests but it gives something like that:

I think this could be easily implemented for an "Open IMDb" query in the search function.

OK, I pushed the code on the live website:

http://www.lddb.com/query.php

New section is "IMDb Actor/Director/Composer/etc." and requires the 7-digit number found for each person detailed in IMDb.
For example Charles Bronson is 0000314 so we can perform an automated search on:

http://www.lddb.com/search/IMDbnm/0000314



Can you give it a try? I played with Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, etc. It seems to work OK.
