What should one enter in the "Price" field so that "PROMOTIONAL ITEM" is displayed?
Also, does the "Plastic" field refer to plastic make up of the LD platter, or the outer plastic covering the jacket when new?

Answers to both might be found in the detailed help, but one can only access the detailed help when submitting a new title and not when performing an update (...not too big of a deal).

Price refers to the original price the item was being sold for when new.
In the case of Japanese releases this is usually written on back of jackets or OBIs in yen. Quote the first price not the second discounted price which is also shown sometimes.

Promotional item is only displayed if you click the promo check box.

Plastic refers the the colour of the actual LD - most being transparent.

I forgot all about the promo check box.

Actually out of the 2 prices (incl. tax and excl. tax), I'd rather use the "excluding tax" one which removed the 3% (then 5%) Japanese VAT.

I tried to keep the prices on a tax-excluded basis throughout the database.

Didn't know that since virtually every music disc I've seen added so far had the higher (first price) added.
