The following links came up in the results of a few Google searches I ran recently.

http://www.lddb.com/player.php?id=48
http://www.lddb.com/player.php?id=64
http://www.lddb.com/player.php?id=65

Is there an LD Player DB in the works?

Yeah, It's been like that for a while. I think Julien's still working on it (hopefully).

Just waiting for a looooong week-end with my desktop PC back to normal usage to close the door, put some instrumental music, stack up food/drinks and code, code, code.

I need to make the shop inventory management better, finish the HD-DVD soundtracks updates, add SACD/dts CD/DVD-Audio to lists, make the player section submit/update ready like other formats, and make the shops sell multiple formats.

The initial database (2002) and code was articulated around:
+--------+-----------------+
|      1 | Laserdiscs      |
|      2 | LD Players      |
|      3 | RF Demodulators |
|      4 | Books           |
|      5 | Misc.           |
+--------+-----------------+

I guess 1 is OK by now, let's look at 2!

Julien

Hi Julien,

did you ever get in touch with the owner of http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/laserdisc_archive_page.htm ?

looks like the last update of his website was in 2007, he build a nice overview, may be thinks could be combined ?
I like his idea with multiple pictures and reviews, not sure how you would like to build your player part.

No reply to emails back a few years ago.

I made a copy of the whole website as an archive if it ever disappears without a warning.

Player section would also have user comments and updates.

wow, took some time to find this topic
wish it was sort of easier, but most other forums are the same so its nobody's fault but the forum

anyway to try and get this back on track, here is a player on ebay that is not listed on the UK site.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teknika-LaserVision-Laser-Disc-Player-HAVD10-LaserDisc-/271555438230?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item3f39f72696

looks like one of those V2000 types, but still should be listed.
there are lots of players out there and people only know what a handful of them do, or only recommend buying or focusing on
a very few for some reason when there are lots of other quality players.

could we add some type of sub-category about players under $$$ and what this give and what you should look for????

definitely Pio OEM. looks based on the CLD-1010 derivatives, perhaps directly based on the 1010's immediate step-down model?

I exchanged emails with the guy who runs the site in May, so it isn't entirely abandoned, it just doesn't seem to be updated.
