How about making the Disc Manufacturer a hyper-link, so that we can click on it and see everything they made at a glance? Say, make Sonopress a hyperlink, so what we can click on it and see every title that they made. How about a running tally on defects by particular facilities, with a percentage of bad titles out of the total that they each made. Also, how about a running total of reported cases of Laser Rot for each facilty. For example (numners used are merely made-up examples: Pioneer USA: 1,345 Pioneer Japan: 1,002 3M: 45 PDO UK: 76 DADC USA: 3,456 DADC Japan: 236 DADC Austria: 5 Misubushi:20 Kurary: 2 Nippon Columbia: 23 Toshiba/EMI: 17 WEA USA: 34 WEA GERMANY: 45 Sonnopress: 34 Distronics (DMI USA): 3 Technidisc: 165 DiscoVision: 78 Etc. And total releases from a paticular manuafurer, with a percent giving the ratios of bad to good. Say 3M made 1000 titles, of which 10 have been flagged as being defective. That means that 100 out of every 1,000. So a defective rate of 10%. Just a though. STAY AWESOME! |

Well, it's a little esoteric for most casual visitors so I won't make it a link on each. However, for your special interests, the "Advanced Search" will let you filter per manufacturing site. Here is Sonopress: http://www.lddb.com/search.php?adv_search=*&adv_reference=&factory=16&format=ld Julien |
