Quick reply box?

I'm not sure if I'm missing this (a setting in the user control panel, perhaps), or if the feature isn't implemented, but I think phpBB allows a box at the bottom of the screen, when viewing a thread, into which a reply can be typed directly. This is more convenient than hitting the "Reply" button & going to another page for the form.

This is a common MOD but it will require manual modification of the style templates -- I'm not using the 2 defaults one shipped with phpBB -- and is on my list of things to try

Does this have to be added on a per-forum basis? I see it is not available in the "Technical questions, Repair, Troubleshooting, Advices" area.

Good catch!

Weird, because I initially used the "Submit and enable quick reply in all forums".

I did it again. It should be okay now.

I think you added that area after adding the Quick Reply option. Maybe that has something to do with it — that it's not enabled by default in new areas?

Looks like it's not available in the "LaserDisc General Discussion" area, either.

Then it must be a non propagation-able feature on phpBB. The Mod is just an undercover hack.

I'll rerun the "propagate to all"...
